Welcome to Rosy Care, where we provide high-quality and culturally sensitive day opportunities for adults with learning and physical disabilities (including those with autism and mild mental health problems). Our adult day care centre in London is dedicated to fostering independence, good health, and social inclusion for all our service users in a friendly and welcoming environment.
At Rosy Care, we take a person-centred approach to meet the individual needs and wishes of each user. Our programs aim to develop advocacy skills, promote independence, and enable our users to lead fulfilling lives. Here are some of the things we do:
‘I am Sonia Alam. I come here to enjoy myself and learn skills. I am interested in learning computer and maths. Through Rosycare, I have been given the opportunity to do voluntary work with different organisations along with Rosycare’s own office. My role was typing, filing, scanning and photocopying. I do voluntary work three days a week and spend another day studying at college. I believe that I am ready to look for a part-time office job that I feel I will really enjoy.’
‘I am Salina. I joined Rosycare day centre seven years ago. I have learnt a lot of skills and how to communicate with friends and others. Before I started at the centre, I was very shy and afraid to communicate with people I did not know. Initially, I was not capable of making a cup of tea or washing any kitchen utensils. After learning skills at the centre, I am confident to make tea even for my friends and serve them too. I am very happy to say I can now bake a cake, lay the table for my friends and can wash up with little support. I feel very happy’.
‘I am writing for Mamun as his main carer. Mamun has been attending Rosycare for last five year. He comes home with a smile on his face and tells me about all the activities he has been doin like shopping, visiting parks, playing football etc. He tells me a lot regarding his friends. I am now very happy to see a big change in Mamun’s behaviour, interaction and willing to do different things. Mamun looks very cheerful and the happy man that I love to see’.
